My landlord is harrassing me? What can I do? I am told I am not allowed to use my backdoor.?

I live in a mobile home park. The owner%26#039;s chose the most obnoxious people to be the landlords and they are messing with everyone. I was told I told I was only allowed to use the back door of my own trailer (I purchased it) in the case of an emergency because I was stepping into the neighbors front yard. I have a gorgeous flower bed and they said I have regular grass in the border grass. I told them to leave me alone or I would sell my trailer to a black family and they implied something would happen to my trailer. I am tired of the harrassment. I consider myself a great neighbor and tenant, but prior to them being landlord, I use to make fun of her lying, bragging husband, now revenge is theirs. What can I do.

The place to start is by reading your lease and the park%26#039;s rules and regulations. Those are binding, but the manager%26#039;s opinion is not necessarily binding. Also, check to see if your state has a mobile home park landlord-tenant law which may give you additional rights. I can%26#039;t imagine your trailer is located right on the property line so that you can%26#039;t step out of your back door without stepping on someone else%26#039;s lot. Is there a map showing the lot boundaries? Finally, make sure you have insurance to cover the trailer and your personal property inside it.

While it sounds like your landlords aren%26#039;t being very accommodating, my guess is that you aren%26#039;t a model tenant either, given the nature of your comment.
Reply:speak to the owner and let them know about the situation. if you are in fact walking on someones front proerty than it makes sense. but if u feel they are burdening u with problems speak to the owner!

Reply:First there is too much information missing. Second, did you sign a contract and what are stipulations as far as using a back door and flowers being planted. And third it is so sad you are prejudice saying you sell to a black family. I would be happy to have a black family next to me (i am white) as long as they take care of the place. I know a lot of trashy white people I would not want for my neighbor.

Reply:i would write a letter of complaint to the owner, keep a copy for yourself. stating if it isn%26#039;t sorted out then you will seek legal advice, but if your all getting trouble then maybe you should all do it together. if the owners can see they face losing all their tenants, they may be forced to do something. good luck
