Paperwhite Bulbs?

I purchased a vase of paperwhites that were forced early. Now that they are past, I cut the flowering stems. How do I save the bulbs without killing them (mold, rot, etc) I would like to plant them either outside or keep them to force again. Any help greatly appreciated.

Paperwhite Bulbs?
With most bulbs, their roots will start developing now that the flowering is done.

This one says they cannot be saved to bloom again but goes on about how to care for them:

Just type paper white bulbs into your search engine to find more. I got over 6,000,000 hits.
Reply:Cut the entire plant down to one inch above the bulb. Rinse in cool water. Dry on some papertowels over night. Place the dried bulbs in a paper %26quot;lunch bag%26quot;. Label and date. Place in your refridgerator. Planting them outside depends on where you live. The easiest answer would be to wait till Spring, when the ground is workable. Plant them 4-6inches deep in a sunny area. Re-forcing can be done after 6-8 weeks in the fridge. Plant in a pot with 2-3 inches of soil underneath bulbs, topped with 3-4 inches above soil. They should %26quot;break%26quot; the soil in 4-6 weeks after planting. Enjoy.
