Should a man have to pay to get his wife back on her feet after divorce if he caused her to quit a good job?

A married man from TX met a woman in FL on a business trip. She was self-sufficient, single many years, taking good care of herself working for a large corp, with great benifit package %26amp; retirement plan. The man lied. Said he divorced 3 yrs but was married to exwife then. He heavily pursued the woman with flowers, long nightly phone calls,%26amp; romantic weekends for 9 months. He moved in with her in FL. They married(he divorced 2 months then)He was going into a new business, persuaded her to quit her job %26amp; join him %26amp; he would mentor her while she learned the business. She quit job with Verizon (had a no rehire policy if you quit)%26amp; started learning new business. 2 months later, she found he had a checking account with his exwife who lived nearby(had told wife that ex was living in TX.He refused to give up bank acct as it used to make purchases on behalf of their child(and to deposit his paycheck)%26amp; insisted their marriage be secret from his ex as he wanted her to think he was living in TX.

Should a man have to pay to get his wife back on her feet after divorce if he caused her to quit a good job?
Although that would be ideal, u have to remember that it was u who made a choice to quit your job in the first place. No one can make u do anything u didn%26#039;t choose on doing yourself and I don%26#039;t even know how this is going to hold up in court as u have to prove that he %26quot;conned%26quot; u into quitting your job.

This whole situation was shady from the get go with him being so secretive about where he lived...etc. so at this point the best thing to do would be to get on with your life and get another job and seek an attorney%26#039;s opinion on your options based on your state laws.
Reply:I%26#039;d vote for that law.
Reply:dump the rat to much crap with him he wants your money
Reply:Hell 2 the yes
Reply:Definately....he should pay....and be prosecuted
Reply:Im not sure what the laws are in other states. However usualy in most cases once a couple gets divorced if the husband worked and brought in the income and his wife did not work or she worked making less money then him and she didnt work the whole time they was married but he did. Then the judge requires him to pay her almony money to support her.

Like wise that works both ways.
Reply:Absolutely, but how can someone be so duped
Reply:nope... the man shouldn%26#039;t be paying to get the %26quot;wife back on her feet%26quot;... if she is stupid enough to give up a good job, then that is her stupid fault...
Reply:What you did not say is, Are you still working at all ? If you were so self sufficient it didn%26#039;t stop you from being naive and gullible.

Is the divorce final ? It sounds like plaintiff number one gets his money not plaintiff number two.
Reply:facts here are complicated. usually, people who are in these situations are not compensated by courts.
Reply:I think you or whoever is owed a great deal of money- you will need a Lawyer for this so get one and get on it. he will figure out what you can claim.
Reply:He lied. He cannot be trusted. Stop immediately and take yourself out of this depressing situation while you still can. The longer you wait to get back on track the more difficult it will be. Forget about his stupidness and use your (anger) energy to be smarter, better and more succesfull than ever!!!

YOU GO GIRL!!!

You%26#039;ve done it before, you can do it again!
Reply:Very confusing and messy. I%26#039;ve learnt not to trust men.

Some men lie, selfish people should pay.
Reply:YES YES YES...He may not have a heart put I think the second wife did...lesson she learn and the price he have to pay .
Reply:I think that first he made a huge mistake in pursuing her when he was married but i dont think its fair that he should give her money if she wanted the divorce.
